Come to the Circulation desk with an ID and proof of address to get a library card. To save time fill out our online registration form before coming in.
Curbside Pickup
If you would like to make use of our curbside services, put items on hold and tell us you are here for pickup using the Coralville Public Library App.
If you are unable to use the app call the Circulation Desk at 319-248-1850.

Computers & Wi-fi

Desktop Computers
Desktop computers are available in the Adult section of the Library. Log in with your Library card or request a guest pass from the Reference Desk.
Laptops
for use in the Library
Cardholders may check out a laptop computer from the Reference Desk for use in the Library.
for Checkout
Coralville residents may borrow laptops for up to two weeks. Inquire at at the Circulation desk about availability or call 319-248-1850. You will need a to show a photo ID along with your library card to check out a laptop. Laptops have a $5 a day late fine.
Wireless Printing
Wireless printing is available from anywhere. Email your print job to cpl-print-bw@printspots.com. Make sure to include your name in the subject heading. Pick your print job at the Reference Desk or call for curbside pickup. ……MORE OPTIONS
Wi-Fi
Wireless internet is available throughout the building and on library grounds 24/7. There is no password. Click through CPL_Wireless’ splash page and you are online.
Wireless Hotspots
Wireless hotspots are available to borrow for two weeks. Call 319-248-1850 or put one on hold in our catalog. Pick up hotspots at the Circulation Desk. Hotspots have a $1 a day late fine.
Library Spaces

Community Resources Room
Find bus schedules, community event flyers, and free community publications in our Community Resources Room.
Also contains a photocopy machine, public phone, and the Friend’s Free Book Shelves.
Display Cases
The Library has three locked display cases available to local nonprofit organizations and individuals. Displays are usually on exhibit for one month, and are meant to highlight current issues or events of public interest, display high quality original art or collections by local residents, or explain the activities of local organizations.

Study Rooms
The Library has six study rooms located behind the Reference desk in the adult section of the Library. Study rooms can not be reserved other than for proctored tests, and are available for two hours or longer, depending on demand.
Meeting Rooms
The Lower Level meeting rooms and our Pro Zoom Account are available for reservation by non-profit organizations. Find out more on our Meeting Rooms page.
The Library holds free events in the Meeting Rooms. See the Library Calendar for upcoming events.
Online Resources

Databases
Databases on a variety of topics are available for use in the Library or from home with a library card. Find them in the elibrary.
Ebooks & Streaming Movies
Coralville residents have access to ebooks, eaudiobooks, emagazines, and streaming movies in with our ecollections in Overdrive, Kanopy, and Hoopla.
TumbleBooks and TumbleMath are available for children.
Coralville Public Library App
Use our CPLibrary app to store your barcode, link accounts, search our catalog and place holds. Even let us know you’re coming to pick up holds with Curbside Click and Collect! Access Library information and electronic resources, too.
Seed Library
Seed donations needed for next Spring!
Bring seeds to the Circulation Desk. Be ready to tell us some information about the plant: name/variety, plant depth, and other plant notes. Thank you for supporting the Seed Library!

- Sow seeds following the instructions
- Save seeds after harvest
- Share seeds with the library for others to use
Seed Saving Basics
- Find your best plants
- Remove seeds
- Prepare seeds
- Wet & Fleshy (tomato, melon, cucumber) – Place seeds in water for a week. Rinse and dry before storage.
- Dry (greens, herbs, beans) – knock from plant or remove from pod; dry and store.
- Label for easy identification next year
