Novel Conversations

Novel Conversations is a book group that alternates between classic novels and more recent works of fiction and nonfiction. Participants are welcome to come to all the meetings or just those that sound interesting.  Multiple copies of each book are available for checkout in the library and are, whenever possible, made available in large print, audiobook, and ebook editions.

It’s been centuries since the robots of Panga gained self-awareness and laid down their tools before wandering into the wilderness, never to be seen again. One day, the life of a tea monk is upended by the arrival of a robot, there to honor the old promise of checking in. The robot can’t go back until the question of “what do people need?” is answered. But there is no simple answer.
