Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library comes to Coralville

New early literacy program provides free monthly book delivery
for Coralville children from birth to age 5

The Coralville Public Library, Coralville Public Library Foundation, and Friends of the Coralville Public Library have partnered with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to increase opportunities for all young children in Coralville to enjoy books at home.

“We are so excited to offer Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to young children in Coralville and rural Johnson County. The Coralville Public Library is always looking for ways to get books into the hands of children! This is yet another way for us to nurture early literacy, and for the Library to connect with children and families in our community,” said Alison Ames Galstad, Library Director.

The Imagination Library aims to inspire a love of reading in children by increasing access to books at home and encouraging families to enjoy reading together. Registered children will receive a free, age-appropriate book every month in the mail – addressed specifically to them. There is no cost or obligation for families. Children under age 5 who are residents of Coralville and rural Johnson County are eligible to enroll in the Imagination Library of Coralville.
