Read Beyond the Beaten Path
Teens are encouraged to read and complete activities while earning rewards, badges and chances to enter into Prize Drawings.
Sign up on Beanstack or pick up a paper log at the Circulation Desk.
Challenge Details
To complete the challenge teens need to read 600 minutes and complete at least 3 activities from the Read, Create, Move and Explore Badges found on Beanstack or on the paper log.
For each 100 minutes read you earn a badge and one entry into the Prize Drawing. For each activity badge completed you also earn one entry into the Prize Drawing.
If you complete the challenge you will have earned 10 entries into the Prize Drawing.
All reading and activities need to be logged by August 1, 2022.
If you’re using the paper log that must be turned in by August 1, 2022
The prize drawings will be computer generated on August 3, 2022 and winners will be notified that day.
Rewards & Prizes
Rewards are earned at program milestones:
- 200 minutes of reading = swim pass to the Coralville Community Aquatic Center
- 400 minutes of reading = $5 gift card
- 600 minutes of reading = a book of your choice from the Teen Book Cart
- Complete the entire summer challenge (reading & activities) = activity badge buttons
