2.08 Test Proctoring Policy
Purpose: The Coralville Public Library offers test proctoring when adequate personnel, facilities, and technology are available. Library staff may refuse to proctor an exam deemed too burdensome or exacting in its demands. Study rooms may be reserved for up to four hours for proctoring tests.
At least 24 hours prior to the exam, the student shall complete CPL’s test proctoring request form. If using one of the library’s laptops for the exam, it is the responsibility of the student to ensure compatibility. Once the request has been approved by library staff, the student will receive confirmation. The student will arrange for any needed exam materials or passwords to be sent to the Library.
At the time of the exam, the student shall:
* provide a valid driver’s license or photo ID for verification of identity if required by the institution
* arrive prepared with the necessary or required supplies to take the exam
* be responsible for all costs incurred related to the examination (including costs for postage or photocopying).
Exams must be completed at least 30 minutes prior to Library closing time.
Exams will be proctored only during regular hours of library operation.
At the time of the exam, library staff will, as requested:
* provide a private space for the student to take the test
* verify the student’s identification, if needed
* provide scratch paper if appropriate
* provide a laptop if it was requested
The Library is in no way responsible for a student’s performance on a test, even if conditions are not optimal for test-taking. The Library is not responsible for technical problems.
I have read and agree to the test proctoring policy
