Basket Weaving @ Cangleska Wakan with Johnson County Conservation

Make a basket from scratch, including the harvest of weaving materials!  We’ll use materials onsite, with the possibility of making cattail, willow, or rose vine baskets.  This class will include some hiking around for materials, (up to one mile), then we’ll either weave the baskets in the forest, or in the lawn area of the park.  Come prepared for basket weaving in either setting!  Students will be able to take their basket home at the end of the class.

For teens grades 7-12.  Parents responsible for transportation.
